Based On B/s And Ria Scientific Research Information Management System Design And Implementation

Along with the progress of scientific technology and the development of social economy as well as the construction of office automation in colleges and universities, the position and role of the scientific research information gains increasing importance in the scientific research. As we all know, scientific research is one of the most significant work for the colleges and universities. For a higher school for example, the variety of discipline, the wide science field and the large amount of scientific research projects and achievement will all cause some difficulties for the management. So carrying on the management through the computer undoubtedly becomes the most scientific and effective method, which not only can improve the efficiency and quality of work, but also provides convenient for information exchanging among departments.The Scientific Research Information Management System faces plenty of user’s roles, involving students, teachers, staffs in the Scientific Research Department, system administrators and school leaders. Because of the different requirements of the system suggested by each role, this system adopts the way of the combination of traditional B/S structure and RIA (Rich Internet applications) to design and realize, so as to make full use of each own advantage to provide better services for different roles.Considering the integration and expansion ability, the system adopts the WCF to provide security service, using the WCF to shield service details so as to improve the reusing degree, unity and compatibility of the system’s service.At the same time, due to much more reports in the system, much information need to be inquired, statisticed, downloaded and printed. System uses a new type of report platform based on the Server, which is the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, viewing and downloading reports through the link based on the Web. Thus users can easily download reports with the format they need and print them directly in the browser, which enhances the user experience.Based on the needs of actually the daily information management of scientific research for the Scientific Research Department in Yunnan University to focus on the detailed demand analysis, this paper uses the object-oriented case-analysis method to complete the function demand of the scientific research management system. For the system design, the overall design and module design are conducted in the system, using the object-oriented ideas to make the database design in detail. The paper finally shows the system’s implementation, summarizes the content of the study, and points out the shortages of the paper, and prospects for further work.
