The Comparative Study On The Grammar Of News Title Between People's Daily And People's Daily Online

There is a full range of profound changes on the news media, because of Internet-emergence of online news media. But the titles of the network have still not been given due attention in the research of linguistics, the researches of titles were focus on the traditional media, such as newspaper. Research on language of the titles reflects the linguistic features and rules of modern language media in the aspects of syntactic, semantic and pragmatic. This article is for the purpose of summarized sentence patterns of the headline of the network between People's Daily and People's Daily Online; by distinguish, mark sentence and make the corresponding project statistics between the newspaper headlines and network news headlines. The subject-predicate titles predominant both the news title of People's Daily and People's Daily Online from analysis examples. There were more empty words in newspaper titles, whereas more complex sentences in network news titles.This article introduces the theme theory to grammar research of news title; considerate analyzes the theme structure of subject-predicate news titles which predominant news titles from the view of syntactic, semantic and pragmatic. Base on the Chinese"Pragmatic priority"character, the basis of cognitive psychology and Prominence of title; and subject-predicate titles were largely different from the subject-predicate structure under the Non-Title conditions, the theme of the subject in the subject-predicate title were particularly outstanding. If not unity the theme with the subject, a tendency towards the theme of the subject must be accepted. The presence of the empty words in newspaper titles was theme implied, the complex sentences in network news titles explained from theme conversion angle. This article introduces the theme theory to the sentence structure research of news title; enrich the research on the language of title to some extent; demonstrates that theme was a projection from pragmatic to grammar.This article analyzes function of news title from the point of communicative function which achieved the speech act, deems that the news titles have behavior affect, cognitive and cultural orientation functions.
