The Application Of Multimedia Processor PXA310 In Smart Phone

Marvell PXA310(Monahans LV)624MHz processor is a high level muiltmedia CPU. It has a perfect performance with low power consumption. P310 is a smartphone project on the base of muiltmedia processor PXA310.The current structions of cellphone hareware include the traditional struction, the mutilprocessor CPU in one IC, and the AP plus modem struction. P310 has a struction named muiltmedia processor plus wireless equipment based on the last struction, AP plus modem. It can connect different wireless applications by demand.Marvell PXA310 has rich resources, including power management, memery, communication port and muiltmedia controller. The circuits are elaborated in details and put out one by one. Many wireless applications are brought up,such as phone, Wifi, BT, FM and so on.Power consumption is the important problem we disscused. Some technologies about low consumption are analysed and summarized. These technologies are helpful for the development of Chinese smartphone designing. It also helps the IC design industry.
