With expansion in the scope of colleges and universities, the number of undergraduate grows more and more. The data related with students assumes a geometry counting the increase trend. There are many problems exist in the method used traditional data dealing with, such as inefficient inquiry, inconsistent data and redundancy. In order to improve office procedure and service efficiency, offer better and careful service, Student information management system has been designed and implemented.This system is based on J2EE technology and acts My SQL database as data integration center. Using Eclipse development platform created the distributed system. In layer architecture, everything about student's management jobs has been divided into presentation layer, business layer and data layer. There are eight subsystems exist in system:User's information management, Checking on working attendance, Basic information of students, Excellence selection activity in studying management, Reward's management, Total performance management, Dormitories'management and Activity in academy. And there are three user's roles:Student, Teacher and administrator, who has been allocated reasonable authority. The user's roles can ensure system's security and data significance.In order to accelerate database access and stick up for data consistency, the system uses reasonable table structure and redundant. On that basis, the system also uses view, stored procedure transaction and so on. On stage of maintenance and update, the system takes fully into account of variability on business rules. The design and implement adopted classic design pattern, such as strategy pattern, composite pattern.The system has the following characters:integrity functions, friendly operation, and convenient deployment, which can bee adopted by most of academies in our country.
