The Application Of PDA Data Acquisition System In Hot Rolling Line

Data acquisition is a direct-vision method of data analysis,and it is an important field of micro-computer application. In the field of industrial control,data acquisition system,that is usually located in the process control level, executes data acquisition from the level of basic automation. For the control system debugging and finding the causes of the malfunction,data acquisition system provides data evidences,and also becomes important guarantee for monitoring of process and optimizing of system parameters,furthermore it also provides data supports for data report generation and information integrated system,for example,production decision-making systems,ERP,MES and etc..The article is based on analyzing and researching to the current situation and development of data acquisition system and the functions of automatic rolling control system and hot-rolling process. This article points out the disadvantages of traditional data acquisition system. Through introducing the overall structure and characteristics of PDA data acquisition system and analyzing Profibus DP and Ethernet protocol,the article indicates evidences for how to choose the manner of communication in PDA data acquisition system, furthermore it also deeply analyze the advantages of PDA data acquisition system and function implementation,and discusses theoretical basis and principles of PDA data acquisition system.This paper presents high-speed data acquisition solutions by using PDA (Process Data Acquisition) data acquisition system to achieve real-time data display and data storage. Its background is a reformation project of data acquisition system that is a domestic steel hot rolling line,the lower control system of the line consists of large-scale controllers which are produced by SIEMENS , the original host computers using GE Fanuc's industrial configuration software iFIX,iFIX configuration software acquisition data from the lower position within the data memory of PLC,but because of its sample rate can not meet the high-speed requirements , make finding system malfunction,data analysis,and according to the technical quality of the data to optimization of system parameters difficultly.After using PDA (Process Data Acquisition) data acquisition system, data information is stored as .dat format files in memory. PDA data acquisition system,through Profibus DP bus to complete the communication between data acquisition system and control system, completed the acquisition of more than 2000 signals in furnace area and finishing mill area in hot mill line. Meanwhile,the system provides data analysis tool which is named ibaAnalyzer,it can be run on any computer to complete the off-line data analysis by users,and can generate data reports, export data,read/write from/to database and other operations. The ibaAnalyzer not only makes the project technical staff optimize products quality through the process of data analysis, makes the system maintenance personnel can quickly locate system failures, thereby reducing downtime.After project completed,utilized off-line analysis tool ibaAnalyzer for analysis of data in a timely manner,and based on the curve of roll force,engineering and technical personnel adjusted the rolling force of the finishing mill F4,F5 and F6. This process not only improved the shape accuracy of hot rolled strip,but also enhanced the machine the balance between planes,and improved the system stability.Although this project of PDA data acquisition system is only accomplished data acquisition from SIMATIC S7 series controllers that are manufactured by SIEMENS,through the Profibus DP bus. But the PDA data acquisition system can be easily achieved with other company's controllers and multiple communication modes for data acquisition and analysis functions.This article made a lot of appraisal works for analyzing and demonstrating the implementation of the program,and fully proved the superiority and reliability of PDA data acquisition system. The methods and ideas have applicability,and there are some theoretical and practical significance.
