Rolling element bearing is one of the mechanical parts of the rotating machinery of the most using,the most critical,but also most vulnerable to damage.Many of the failures of rotating machinery is related with the state of the rolling element bearing, the bearings of the good and bad working conditions impact the machine greatly. Therefore,having real-time fault detection and diagnosis to rolling element bearing is necessary.In recent years,due to the rapid development of DSP technology and mature, introducing the DSP technology into rolling element bearing's fault detection and diagnosis becomes the hot spots now.this paper,using the advantages of DSP technology in the signal processing,has designed the system of rolling element bearing real-time data gathering and processing with taking DSP as core processor, which can complete rolling element bearing's data acquisition and the signal processing fast and enhance the efficiency and real-time of the fault diagnosis.The prime work in this paper is as follows:1) Studied the goal,the significance and the domestic and foreign research development of the rolling element bearing failure diagnosis research,selected the research plan of the paper;2) Studied the theory of rolling element bearing fault diagnosis,fault diagnosis of rolling element bearing type,characterized by a comprehensive understanding of the system to determine the focus of signal processing;3) Studied the application of the wavelet transformation in the signal denoising aspect of rolling element bearing failure diagnosis.In view of fault signal characteristic,Focused on the selection of wavelet bases,wavelet decomposition level and wavelet thresholding and threshold function.On this basis,brought up a improved threshold function with better simulation results. 4) In view of rolling element bearing failure diagnosis system's characteristic and request,designed the system's hardware platform which taking DSP chip TMS320C6713 as the core processor and realizing system's logical control with CPLD,and introduced the important electric circuit detailly.And the electric circuit schematic diagram and system PCB have given in the paper.5) In view of rolling bearing fault signal characteristic and the design of hardware platform,has completed system's software design which including system's establishment and the initialization,the wavelet denoising and the FFT feature extraction procedure realizes,Self-guided procedures of DSP and the CPLD control logic and so on.And finally in the paper has given the experimental result.
