As the new research focus in the digital television, transmission standard is of great significance, and the channel coding is an important parameter to judge the channel quality. According to the GB20600-2006"Framing Structure, Channel Coding and Modulation for Digital Television Terrestrial Broadcasting System", in detail introduced to carry the concrete structure design of system each main function mold piece and discuss the soft hardware design and realization of each function mold piece in the system, including the selection of designing the project, calculate way and structure, imitate true analysis etc. Using FPGA as the hardware circuit design and development platform, and using the digital circuit design flow, powerful EDA tools and Verilog HDL language to designed and simulated the system, The main work and achievements are listed as follows:1) According to the name of the standard, the single carrier system can be divided into three parts:channel coding, frame structure and modulation.a. In channel coding, it is emphasesised on scrambling, BCH code, LDPC code and interleaving which is designed and simulated;b. In modulation section analysed symbol mapping and filter.and designed and simulated 16QAM mapping and SRRC filter.2) Using FPGA as the hardware circuit design and development platform, and using Verilog to achieve the entire system RTL code, and in line with the drive circuit to complete the all system. This method reduces the design cycle, improves the system's flexibility and adaptability, and reduces system costs.Through the different levels of simulation and test to verify this paper presents channel coding System based on memory, and the simulation results show the function and capability of modules is reached the standard requirements.
