For many years, Internet has been developing towards the direction of supporting the business-oriented technical system. However, the traditional framework of networking technology has already showed incompetence in meeting the growing users'requirements with different characteristics. In order to solve this problem, in the major research program "New Generation Highly Trustworthy Network", the architecture of open and reconfigurable networks is proposed to solve the network convergence problem of emerging applications from the aspect of "application mapping to service, and service mapping to component"This thesis researches several key technology of the component layer on ORRSN (Open and Reconfigurable Routing and Switch Node), which is a part of ORN (Open and Reconfigurable Networks) and contains the following parts:(1) the architecture of component layer in ORRSN; (2) the components'modeling, classification, and several key components' design; (3) the design of the management layer forcomponents; (4) the prototype system of ORRSN.Based on the above researches, this thesis mainly completed the following tasks:(1) designed a kind of component-based ORRSN; (2) proposed a modeling method for components which can be used in ORRSN; (3) designed 17 components and 4 categories, which can be applied for reconfiguration of upper layer services; (4) designed and implemented a type of management layer for components, which can effectively manage the components in ORRSN; (5) designed and implemented a component-based prototype system of ORRSN, which verified the usability of resource function interface and application function interface by the accessing of the third-party component resources and service layers on two platforms (IXP2851 and PC), and laid the solid foundation for the reconfiguration of network equipments.In the end, we tested the function of the component-based prototype system of ORRSN, and proved the correctness and feasibility of the proposed designs of the component layer in ORRSN.
