Over the years, the Internet has been developing along supporting the business-oriented technical system, as the traditional framework of networking technology shows incompetence in meeting the growing user requirements with different characteristics. In order to solve this problem, in the major project research program "New Generation Highly Trustworthy Network", the architecture of open and reconfigurable networks is proposed to solve the network convergence and service convergence.This thesis firstly researches several key technologies in the service layer in the Open and Reconfigurable Routing and Switch Node (ORRSN) which is based on the architecture of Open and Reconfigurable Networks (ORN), such as, (1) architecture of the service layer, (2) classifing and modeling of services, (3) mapping from service to component, (4) communication protocol for controlling the service, (5) user operation and management system.This thesis has mainly completed the following work based on the research of above key technologies. (1) Design the architecture of the service layer applicable to the ORRSN. (2) Present a service classification schemes suitable to the ORN, based on which we design a service modeling method, and by applying the method we detailedly design three service classes. (3) Propose a set of services to components mapping schemes, which can convert service configuration to component configuration. (4) Design the communication protocol between the network management node and the ORRSN, including protocol operational mechanism, application environment, message encapsulation, and transmission mapping. (5) Design and implement the user operation and management system and services prototype system for the management and configuration of services and components.We have tested the function of the service prototype. The result of the test indicates the correctness and feasibility of the service layer in the ORRSN designed by this thesis.
