Since the reform and opening up, the economy of china has maintained a highly development, which not only created huge material wealth, but also brought comprehensive influence about person's life, at the same time highlighted the cultural characteristic of the consumption society. As the advocator of consumerism, the guide of consumption idea, consumer periodicals have gained a good developing potential. Consumer periodicals have formed unique style of products, established the pricing method and channel mode and developed the multi-combination sales promotion and achieved good benefits by means of carrying out the systematic marketing strategy. However, the problems in the management and the formation of this industry restrict the development of consumer periodicals. Starting with the development situation of consumer periodicals, this thesis probes into their living environment---consumption society and the interaction between consumerism and consumers, tries to analyzing the social functions and marketing strategy of domestic consumer periodicals. And also according to these problems, expects to provide references for the idea innovation, institutional innovation, technological innovation and marketing innovation of consumer periodicals.
