Design And Implementation Of Teaching Evaluation System Based On Web

With a large number of colleges and universities in recent years, expansion, and the per capita decline of teaching resources, teaching resources and the most important part is the teachers. How to ensure and improve the quality of teaching is the prominent problems of colleges and universities. However, there are many drawbacks in traditional teaching evaluation system, such as the occupation of teaching time, requiring to complete complex paper-based forms, not be flexible to arrange the time and place for the teaching evaluation, dealing with quantification very roughly, which make the teaching evaluation inefficient, trivial and unscientific. The System designed in the paper can overcome these drawbacks and will become popular in the future of the university teaching evaluation architecture reform. It saves the time and place cost of the teaching evaluation by web, and makes the teaching evaluation more scientific and objective by let the teachers, students, supervisors and others participate in the teaching evaluation.In this paper, based on the Windows platform, using DreamWare as the development tool, we designed and developed a web multi-role teaching evaluation system. By useing SQL server 2000 as the database and the development of dynamic Web pages based on ASP script, adopting the B/S structure, the system implements the main function modules of teaching evaluation. The system mainly includes the following core modules: login module, evaluation module, query module, administrator module.The system mainly solves two key issues. The first one is how to reflect the teaching quality in the form of score, which need to design a scientific mechanism and the weighted scores calculated. We design the hierarchical model and the Judgment Matrix using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). The second one is how to evaluate the teaching quality objectively. We make the teachers, students, supervisors and others participate in the teaching evaluation to ensure the scientificity and objectivity, and finally synthesize the evaluation from all the above aspect.According to the experiment results, the system is able to evaluate the teaching quality objectively and scientific, promoting the teaching reform and improving the quality of teaching. At the same time, it has a good application prospects, and it is valuable for other similar works.The main structure of this paper is as follows:Chapter 1 mainly introduces the background,researches at home and abroad, and describes the reason of developing the system.the design goals of the system, the system requirement of the system and the function requirement of the system.Chapter 2 mainly introduces the technology and knowledge used in developing the system, which includes ASP, the difference between ASP,PHP and JSP, B/S structure and its feature, SQL server 2000.Chapter 3 mainly introduces the system analysis and design of the system, which includes: the deployment of the software and hardware of the system, function structure design, system design, the flow chart of evaluation, the relationship and structure of tables in database.Chapter 4 mainly introduces the detailed design and implement of the system. And it describe in detail the design and algorithm of the core modules: login module, evaluation module.Chapter 5 mainly describes the running and testing condition of the system. According to the experiment results, the system proposed in this paper, which runs stably and is valuable for later studies.Chapter 6 summarizes the study of the paper, and gives the future works.
