With the development of our economy and the frequent contact with the outside world, the local people's health consciousness rises gradually and their healthy demand is growing day by day. As a result, great deals of healthy TV programs have been produced. In continuous evolution of history, not only the amount of these programs increased rapidly, but also the forms varied from each other, for example, news, interview, documentary film, and special subject movie...etc.The emergence of healthy TV program plays a positive role not only in the development of our national TV program, but also in the communication of health. On the one hand, health TV program expands the content of television transmission; consolidate the cultural, educational and service functions of other TV programs. It also spreads the health ideas by providing information about health and health consultation. On the other hand, the various healthy TV programs also promote the various development of television medium.In China, the healthy TV program appeared very early, however, it didn't develop as quickly as television technology. Actually, health program hasn't been treated as a professional TV program until 90s in 20th century. So, compared with other program types, such as news, amusement, and athletics...etc., the healthy TV program developed much slowly. However, in numerous mixed healthy TV programs, The Way to Health is the only brand program. The promotion and planning of The Way to Health let us see that the utilization and cooperation of TV media and health resource has broad prospects. However, we still need to recognize that most domestic TV program are now facing much difficulties, such as short life, rough programming,similar content, single form, the proliferation of false advertising and so on. The reasons for these problems lie not only in the defect of their own programming, but also in the lag of marketing concept.Nowadays, how to make good use of this opportunity to achieve social and economic win-win situation, promoting China's healthy TV industry's overall development is an important issue for media practitioners and theorists, who need to put more attention on.According to the research of the history of the local healthy television program, this thesis will analyze the development of national health TV programs'fundamental features, law of development, direction of management, effect factors and problems in the past decades. Then basing on these issues, combined with the characteristics of the market economy, I will explore the future development of the health TV business from the aspects of public and industry.
