With the rapid development of science and technology, the structure and function of modern product is more and more complicated, in order to ensure product performance and quality, how to lower production costs and shorten the production cycle, is the key to success in market competition. The control of product function, quality and cost plays an important role in the product lifecycle. Normally, the cost of design takes about 5% of the total cost, but it determines 70% of the total cost, and about 80% of the design mistakes can only be found during the manufacturing and using process. The famous'Ten times law'in manufacturing product shows that if it costs 1 dollar to find and correct one mistake in the concept design process, it will cost 10 dollars in the detailed design process,100 dollars in production-manufacturing process, and it will cause production cycle extended.Manufacturability plays an important role in the product design process, and also the inherent character of the product, it is the base to use economic, reasonable, and reliable method to keep product fabrications. Therefore to improve product manufacturability in the design process with reasonable structure, appropriate material and technology is very important for keeping product quality, reliability, fasten development level, enhance volume production and cost control.Along with the computer application in manufacturing enterprise, computer-aided technology design becomes possible. It is very important to modern manufacturing enterprise and is widely actively demand. Therefore computer-aided technology design can not only enhance the efficiency and quality of industrial design, but also keep the consistency and standardization of design.This system is called the product manufacturability auditing system and developed by School of Software at HIT Weihai. It is the auxiliary means for manufacturability examination by chief technologist and professional technologist and it can also standard examination, enhance efficacy; help technology leadership's management. First, this paper analysis the requirement of system function and non-functionality based on the background of industry informationization and problems that design and development process will face; it illustrates the system requirement with flow chart and user case.Based on system analysis this paper designs system architecture. Fist it present the object of system design and principle, then it designs the system architecture and function architecture. Considering expandability and maintainability of technology architecture it uses SOA and analysis the function of each step. On the function of architecture design, it discusses the functions of the parts of the system composition, and finally gives a dynamic system process.Next detail manufacturability examination system using SOA architecture. This paper analysis the function and position of manufacturability examination system and gives the monolithic construction drawing then details functional module presented during system analyzing.Based on the detailing, this paper first gives an outline of implementation of each module and gives monolithic construction drawing as well as the implementation of each module. Then take an example of the process of service oriented encapsulation.Finally, this paper tests the manufacturability examination system, gives an outline of application condition, and gives out suggestions of improvement.To sum up, this paper makes functions modularized based on SOA, designs and implements the system of manufacturability examination.
