Nowadays, it is required that the designers create more works of Zeitgeist from modern digital technology, therefore, the research on the design and application of Chinese characters in figure and image process software has both a background of subject integration and trait of high practicability. This article clarifies the development of Chinese characters and the function of figure and image software in character design. It sums up the technique of using figure and image software to design Chinese characters. Through comparing and analyzing the relationship between the software process of Chinese characters and handwritten Chinese characters, it turns out that Chinese characters has its due advantages on the practice of computer figure and image and art layout. Meanwhile, this article takes advantage of a series of figure and image process software, like CorelDraw, Photoshop, and 3DS MAX to handle Chinese characters figure, Chinese characters image and Chinese characters three dimension. This article uses figure and image process software to design the Shunlong logo, advertisement poster and electronic card in a practical way. It represents the manifestation and procedure of figure and image software processed Chinese characters. Thus, it embodies its unique technique of expression, and gives prominence to technical creation.
