FMS (Fault Management System),which was developed by Inspur, as an integrated network management system, mainly for monitoring, configuration and fault checking to systems or network equipment network that used by overseas telecom carriers. Its function can realize while connecting to their network management systems or equipment. Because of overseas customers (telecom carriers) complex network environment in which third-party vendor network management system uses different criteria, it is required that the development of interfaces with third-party program to achieve data transmission network management system vendors to ensure the stability of the data collection.FMS interface program under NMS (Network Management System) play its role by connecting third-party network management system or OMC (Operation and Maintenance Center) northbound interface, collecting and operating alarm messages, and sending them to the JMS queue which defined by FMS. As the FMS interface program needs to connect third-party vendors'OMC, therefore the data transmission protocol type of OMC constraints relatively. With the agreement, if the OMCs are of different type or connected in different ways, interface program should be different. Therefore, the development and configuration of interface program depends on the corresponding situation in deploying site.The issue shows the construction principle and interface program design of fault management system interface program. It analyzes the management requirements for all OMC vendors in sending alarm messages through northbound interface in complicated situations, summarizes from a technical point of view and emphasis on interface flexibility, easy maintenance and on the compatibility of different OMC. Finally it gives a series of practical suggestions in designing of integrated network management system.Interface program approach for real-time alarms, the alarms will be collected to being operated and sent to the message processing JMS queue. Then FMS background processing module receives the alarm messages from the JMS queue and makes follow-up operations. Alarm collection layer connects to processing layer through JMS queue. FMS on the collection queue have a series of interface definition on alarm messages, and requires that gathering layer formating alarms to a standard format formed by operation layer.We developed alarm synchronization in order to resolving alarm-losing caused by Site-specific environmental problems. This function updates alarm messages in a continuous period of time and stores them in table to ensure the integrity of alarm messages. To treat with the history-alarms from the OMCs of those vendors who do not provide synchronization, we developed history-alarm synchronization tool to read the file exported from database and implement synchronization.
