The Version Research About Qing Yu Chenglong's Political Book

Yu Chenglong (1617-1684), was the key officials of the early Qing Dynasty Emperor Kangxi. At Qing Shunzhi eighteen years (1661), Yu Chenglong is 45 years old.He got granted the magistrate of Luocheng in Guangxi Province by the election to Vice-table tribute. After a promotion, at the twenty-three years (1684) of Qing Emperor Kangxi in March to two double-up the title of the Governor Jiang, Anhui, Jiangsu governor two things; in April, died in term of office. Yu Chenglong was an official from 45-year-old and died at 68-year-old.He got recognized and praised in his honest, able, access to the emperor, colleagues, people and future generations. Emperor Kangxi praised as "The Honest and upright official in the world".Yushan Zoudu and Yuchenglong's Political Book were written by Yu Chenglongin. Yushan Zoudu was compiled by Li Zhongsu at Yu Chenglong's lifetime. Yuchenglong's Political Book was assembled by Cai Fangbing and Zhu Kuangding in his death. The two books contained his memorials and official documents during the period of Yu's official time. The appendixs of Zoudu and Political Book were correspondences and poetry works with other officer. In particular, Yuchenglong's Political Book was included in Sikuquanshu. But there were differences between them. And there were similarities and differences between Zoudu and Political Book. Zoudu has different versions and Political Book has different versions too. The versions of Zoudu have Shanxi University library collection, Nankai University library collection and National library collection. The versions of Political Book have Kangxi collection, Qianlong collection and Sikuquanshu collection. Therefore, Yu Chenglong's book is divided into two major systems:the system about Yushan Zoudu and the system about Yuchenglong's Political Book. And I have the comparison between the two major systems.This paper is divided into three parts. The first part is Yu Chenglong's life. It introduced the Yu's life story during common people and officer. The contents of Yuchenglong's Political Book were based in the order of successive official. We can explore the version of Political Book more in-depth by studying Yu's life. The second part is the version research about Yu Chenglong's Political Book. It is the main part of the paper. I analyzed the format and main content of the two version systems. I explored preface, p,contents and main body in order to clearing the main features of all versions and providing materials of contrast. The versions of the similarities and differences were compared within the two systems. The third part is the comparison about Zoudu and Political Book version system. I chose the most complete version in the two systems to find similarities and differences between them and analyzed background and causes for similarities and differences.The paper has combed the versions of Yu Chenglong's book and compared differences between the versions. Thus, I can explore reasons for differences in order to recognize the important role of traditional Chinese culture in literature handing down. We can define the principles of compiling the new Political Book. And I hope that my paper layed a solid literature foundation to stuy Yu Chenglong and his book.
