Design And Implementation Of Network Control Platform Based On Embedded LINUX

At present, although network control systems based on General-purpose computer occupy most of the market, but it has the following drawbacks:complex structure, stability and reliability is not high, expensive and cumbersome operation. If developed by unique embedded systems for network control platform, the performance and price will be a great advantage, and the operation becomes easily. Moreover, with the embedded technology continues to mature and develop, high reliability, miniaturization, humane, and intelligent network will be its development direction. In this context, developing a network of Linux-based embedded control platform has a very large significance.This article will firstly describe current situation of the embedded system research and future trends. And in accordance with existing embedded processor chips and the corresponding operating systems, comparison and choice, to choose hardware-core processor chip S3C2410 and embedded operating system Linux for the topic. This paper will detail design about hardware and software in the all parts of the system. Combining with the appropriate hardware platform, it achieves to transplant Linux operating system, boot the BootLoader, build root files system. And focusing on the compiling of drivers, for example the drivers of network device,CAN and LCD.Finally, using socket network programming, compiles server's program based on windows host and client's program based on embedded platform to prove the right design of hardware and software. Windows-based client interface program design is based on VC 6.0, the embedded platform, the server program design is based on POSIX threading.Experimental results show that this network platform to transmit data correctly, shows the platform hardware and software design is correct.
