Intelligent Monitor System For Home Application Based On Embedded Linux

With further development of embedded technology and urgent desire for lower cost and higher reliability, embedded monitor system becomes more and more popular. Embedded DVR becomes a new hot research and development field because of richer function and more sophisticated products. But such system is mainly mounted in company, bank and harbor etc. It is not suitable for home application for high cost. Thinking of this point, we design the system that is based on ARM9 platform and implements monitor function by grabbing picture and video stream through USB camera. It must be applied widely in burglar alarm and visual doorbell etc. for low cost and high performance.This system is based on HHARM2410 development board, which is integrated with S3C2410 micro processor. We add PIR module circuit to make the system more intelligent. Aiming to lower development and application cost further, we use embedded Linux as the operating system.
