P2P network is entirely different from the traditional C/S or multi-server network. P2P network is composed of peers, according to the definition of JXTA, any machine which can access to the internet is a peer. The peer in P2P network is directly communication with each other, this communication is not dependent on centralized server. It is precisely because of this feature of P2P networks have led to the free-riding problem. This article is introduction of game theory to resolve the free-riding problem in the P2P file-sharing system. This article firstly simply introduces the characteristics of P2P network and a variety of structural models, the concept of JXTA protocols and their core protocols. In order to build a set of protocol, JXTA was customized by SUN. Using the protocol we are able to develop a variety of P2P system meeting our own conditions. The P2P file-sharing system designed by this article is based on CMS of JXTA protocols.Secondly, this article describes the specific design process of P2P file-sharing system and its various functions. The system enables the files to be uploaded, searched and downloaded. It is a relatively simple P2P file-sharing system, but it can meet the basic applications. Finally, for the free-riding problem of P2P file-sharing system, this article is introduction of game theory mechanism in economics to improve the enthusiasm of nodes in P2P system, so that the nodes in system can actively participate in file-sharing, which can not only increase the overall efficiency of P2P file-sharing system, but also allows each node to maximize its own earnings to solve the free-riding problem in P2P network.
