With the increasing application of power electronic device, power system harmonics is becoming serious. The traditional method of harmonic suppression can not meet the needs of modern power systems. It is a trend for power quality to manage in the few years for the modern development of electric power. As a new type of compensating device, Active Power Filter is known for their adaptive capacity to changes in system parameters, grid load and faster speed of response, and it has been regarded as the most development potential of the harmonic suppression method. Therefore, APF has been developed very rapidly.This paper introduces the principle and structure of the active filter in the first place, then invents a design which is based on the control of DSP about the shunt voltage type APF, and discusses the system problems of the control strategy and control system hardware design.This article focuses on the method of harmonic current detection and the control strategies of compensation current. The method of harmonic current detection based on ip-iq detection. Analyses the principles and structure of APF, choose an improved beat control strategy, this algorithm has been validated by MATLAB simulation software.In the process of designing, this article use digital signal processing chip TMS320F 2812 as the core control chip and intelligent power module PM15RSH120 IPM as the power unit to design a small. Capacity shunt Active Power Filter test device, discussed the main circuit of the filter and the designing process in the control circuit, including signal acquisition and conditioning circuits, voltage regulator DC side capacitor, AC filter inductor side of the choice of DC voltage sensors, the design of main circuit external protection circuit and control algorithm.
