Plastic pipe is one of the important devices in the medical industry, the quality of its production is directly related to patient safety. As the manual assembly has low productivity and high cost, is easy to produce much sources of pollution and is difficult to connecte,automatic assembly will replace the manual assembly is inevitable. At present, China's plastic pipe production imainly by manually assembling, no automatic assembly systems. In this paper, according to an enterprise needs to design a system of plastic automation assembly, it consist of automatic assembly, automatic quality inspection and automatic packaging system, and PC designed monitoring system to monitor the system.First, plastic pipe automation assembly line was introduced, plastic pipe automatic assembly line consists of two sub-assembly systems (A and B assembly system) and a packaging system, the two same sub-assembly systems work with the packaging systems in turn.Secondly, designed the control system of the automation assembly line, given the whole structure of the control system framework and software design. The whole control system is divided into conveyor control systems, inspection and control systems, packaging control system and PC monitoring system.Finally, respectively designed each subsystem containing hardware and software design. Each subsystem has its own controller, data exchange between the various subsystems to form a distributed control system. Conveyor control system hardware is composed of PLC, servo drives, servo motors and various sensors., to complete the conveyor speed control and positioning control, to achieve the different components of the plastic pipe assembly and connection; inspection and control system Hardware is composed of PLC, analog sampling module and pressure sensors,to complete the connection quality testing; packaging system hardware is composed of PLC, inverter, AC motor and solenoid valves, to sorting and packaging; monitoring system is composed mainly of industrial computer, through the host computer system to monitor the working status of the PLC, timely reflect the system working status, and the host computer operator can send control information to the PLC. PC monitoring software developed by VisualBasic6.0, host computer and lower computer using RS232 communication, the communication protocol is PPI protocol which is internated in Siemens PLC. Software design, in addition to monitoring system, the rest sub-system is divided into automation, manual and maintenance working modes, and designed a variety of alarm signal output and alarm control.After the testing, the system is stable, safe, reliable, efficient, basically achieve the purpose of the design.
