Research On The Development Of The Rule Of Law From The Law-related TV Program In China

The legal programs of Chinese television have become a sort of popular TV programs for audiences with the fast development for 30 years. They have performed an irreplaceable role during the process of propagating to implement the basic principle of"running the country by law"and initiate administration by the rule of law , resulting from their expansive horizons, strongly-watchable attributes and funny spreading means. They have witnessed the law-based process of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Simultaneously, been advancing toward legalization. Therefore, as for studying the legalization process of legal programs of Chinese television, it not only meets with people's needs, more importantly, with the times.Apart from the part of introduction, this thesis is divided into five chapters. The significance of studying legal programs of Chinese television is proposed in the first chapter. The argument is put forward after running through their 30–year-development processes, analyzing their social functions. That is the legal programs of Chinese television have a long way to go from"rule by law"to"rule of law".The second chapter analyzes the operation of the law programs,summarized six main forms of totally more than 200 law programs. Then give consideration to the current status of law programs. The immanent contradiction between commercial and public characteristics, the conflict between media and law are the main reason of the problems. This part also gives detailed explanations to hot rating programs—Meditation programs for that, mainly of the content of this program are relevant to law. So I give a contradiction to Meditation programs and law programs.The third chapter gives cases as an example to support analysis of the domestic law programs. The fourth chapter demonstrates Tru TV from America, including the introduction of the viewer, the content and market strategies etc., so to give the realistic significance to the law program of China.The fifth part gives a conclusion to the paper, and gives suggestions to the future development of the law program.
