The applications of extrusion technology in the field of food processing are more and more widely, while the advantages and advancements of extrusion technology in the processing of starch materials are increasing evidently.The study of domestic and foreign experts and scholars shown that the extrusion effects are related to the material temperature, feed rate, screw speed, material humidity, enzyme addition.But the automation of the YJP200 extruder we developed is lower now, the material feeding, water adding, enzyme adding are controlled artificially, these shortcomings are directly impact the quality and production efficiency of extruded products. The aim of this paper is on the object of YJP200 single screw extruder, to design and develop a flow control system to meet this extruder.This paper mainly includes the following content:(1) On the base of analysising the process flows and control requirements of the material feeding, water adding, enzyme adding,using the technologies of PID control, frequency control, and analyse the system, establish transfer function.(2) To determine the PID control parameters,a series of experiments were taken.By observing the flow control and system interference etc.,improve the system circuits and modify system parameters to make flow control more accuratly, reduce the system errors.(3) To improve the antomation of extruder,the fuzzy-PID control was used by PLC.The study of the system of material feeding, water adding, enzyme adding in this paper basically achieve the functional requirements desired,have good practicability and reliability, meet the needs of production.
