With the development of plastic door-window,more effective design method of plastic profile die is required. Function block usually is a dependency on the main profile,but it has important effect on the main profile melt flow and the quality of the profile die. The section shape of function block structure is usually very complex,and it has no universal formula to calculate and design till now. When making new die,we always design it by experience,and this may bring some inaccuracy. So,it is difficult to improve the quality of the die if only depending on experience. A new method should be discovered to design the function block.The thesis is based on the rheology and hydrokinetics of the polymer melt,and calculates the velocity in the die by FEM simulation,and provides die design with theory proof. According to the existed theory,I summarize and conclude the FEM formula of the polymer flow,and then write the program to calculate on the computer. This function block FEM simulation can be used in profile die design,so a new design method of function block comes forth.
