Straightening technology belongs to a branch of metalworking disciplines, has been widely used in industries of metal-processing, automobile, petrochemical, metallurgical, machine & equipment of manufacture, etc. Straightener is used for the metal bar, pipe, wire etc. Because types of material are different, so processing methods, processing equipment, in the section on materials produced by the bending forming are also different. Straightening method of cross rolls is comprehensive straightening way of devoted to round section of pipe. Slantwise intersecting between rollers & pipe, the rollers rotating the pipe to spin forward, pipe remained bending the linear of spiral trajectory is based on bending of the spiral changes direction. Multi-cross-roller straightening machine which a large extent determine the level of product quality is very important device in the metal pipe & bar processing industry.This paper describes a method of control system design for pipe diameterφ25-75mm of precision 9-roller straightener, principle of which is to use the cross roller straightening method. The straightener control system design is based on S7-300 PLC and Siemens MP277 etc. Through the cross-roller straightening principle and straightening machine analysis, straightening system's hardware architecture, software implementation and configuration of the screen HMI has been systematically expounded. The straightener control system for advanced design, perfect function and high reliability, compared with similar products in the course of actual operations, is advanced level in the performance and reliability. Finally, through the process and its relevant data of the nine-roller straightener research, obtained the empirical formula of technology adjusting propose a technical reference model For design of high-precision straightening machine in the future.
