The Design And Implementation Of The Detention Student’s Relative Visiting System

In the process of routine management, the domestic reeducation through labor institutions are demanded to arrange open meeting days regularly, allowing the families and relatives to meet the labor-educating students and check on their performance.Conventionally, the police in the meeting room need to fill in by hand the information about the students’ visitors, the meeting time and departure time. Besides, they are also required to help the families and relatives look up the performance of the students and take questions from them. And in the open meeting days, there usually come a great number of visitors, which results in a large amount of workload of the meeting room.Most reeducation through labor institutions has adopted the nationwide administrative management system for student management. This system is used to keep record of the personal information and performance of the students. However, this system is open only for the police officers of the institutions. And if the student’s relatives want to inquire about the students" performance, the only way is to ask the police for help, and the police officers will give the useful answers and information.In order to reduce the workload of the polices officers in the meting room, improve the work efficiency and establish a better image of the institutions, this thesis has designed and developed this students-relative meeting system for reeducation through labor institutions. This system includes the functions of the relative card management, registration through card for meetings, touching screen query about the students’ performance and other information, etc.The thesis takes Unified Modeling Language (UML) as its tools for analyzing and designing the needs of the related work and ideas of the re-education students’ meetings. According to the characteristics of the meeting work, network architecture model is adopted. Functionally, hardware and software is combined. Technically, it’s based on Microsoft, NET. C#is the programming language and Microsoft Office Access is the data storage tool. In the use of integrated query for administrative SQL Server database management system, it enables magcard management, meeting registration, students’ information query. In terms of system security, with the adoption of rights management, different roles have different permissions and rights;hence the security of the system is enhanced.The system has had a successful trial in reeducation through labor institutions in shandong province. Meeting and return registrations are easily achieved through card and performance of the labor-educating students with the help of the touching screen query, which improves the meeting-work efficiency and promotes the image of the institution.
