Research On Measurement System For Taper Pipe Thread Parameters Based On Microcontroller

Taper pipe thread is used in connecting oil pipes. Qualified taper pipe thread is important to oil production. So it is necessary to measure its key parameters.A system of taper pipe thread is researched in this thesis. C8051F005 microcontroller which has rich resources is the core of the system. Grating sensor and rotary encoder are used in the system to get vertical data and level data. Then the data is sent to PC to display the profile of the thread and the thread parameters calculated. This thesis is mainly composed of mechanical structural, hardware and software.Mechanical structural is the basic platform of the system. Stepper motor is used to provide drive for the system. The stepper motor drives screw to rotate. Screw drives nut to move around on it, to achieve the planned measurement path.Hardware of the system includes the minimum system circuit of MCU, sensor signal acquisition and processing circuit, serial communication circuit, stepper motor control circuit, liquid crystal display circuit and data storage circuit. Sensor signal acquisition and processing circuit includes the subdivision and sensing treatment of the grating signal, the distinguish direction of rotary encoder. The stepper motor control circuit control the stepper motor start and stop, as well as the direction of movement. The data is transmitted to PC through serial port. Finally, the data is saved and dealt.Software of the system is divided into two parts. They are lower computer software and host computer software. They are programmed by a systematic, modular principle. Lower computer software includes data acquisition, serial communication, stepper motor control, data storage module. These modules based on hardware are programmed and debugged. Host Computer software is developed in Visual C++. It can achieve the following functions, including control of drive, algorithms of data processing, graphics generation, output of results.Through testing, the system has good function and high intelligence. It can meet a variety of fields of measurement and has good actual value.
