Excessive heat and pressure utilization project mainly focuses on increasing energy efficiency in production technique, which helps to maximize the utilization of potential energy and waste heat released in the production process by improving process structure and installing more energy-saving devices. As one of the major 10 energy-saving projects during the 11th five-year Plan period and one of the key projects for constructing an energy-conservation society, Excessive Heat and Pressure Utilization Project as well as related technology are being rolling out in China gradually. However, the excessive heat, pressure and other residual energy in the steel, coal, construction materials, chemicals, textiles, metallurgical and other industry haven't been fully utilized, mainly because the one-time investment of such devices is too high and the return is very low. Facing the increasing energy prices, people have come to realize the good investment return of utilizing excessive heat and pressure, more and more importance of which has been attached to the energy conservation of enterprises in China.Based on the renovation of the aromatic hydrogen absorption and the continuous catalytic reforming unit, this dissertation makes an in-depth study of the excessive heat recycling technology and elaborates the design of an energy recycling system by installing additional equipment to the original devices, The design of this system not only fulfill the specific project requirements of increasing the thermal efficiency of the furnace and reducing fuel consumption, but also meet the safety standard required by a petrochemical complex. Currently the system has been partially put into operation. The aromatic hydrogen absorption and continuous catalytic reforming unit is designed by the German company Lurgi and owned by Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited, which started its first running in 1985. After renovation, some heating furnaces have been equipped with steam generation system, however the rest haven't been renovated and the temperature of the fume from the furnace are still very high, which needs to be renovated by adding excessive heat recovery units to original devices for more thermal efficiency and lower fuel consumption. French Schneider Unity Premium series PLC and Wonderware Intouch SCADA work as control platforms together with multiple field instruments, monitoring and network equipment, thus forming a complete excessive heat recovery control and monitoring system.With the implementation of excessive heat recovery device in the aromatic CCR devices, feasible solutions have been worked out to fix some problems in the implementation process. This system proves to be a stable and user-friendly one in gaining more thermal efficiency of the furnace and fully utilizing excessive heat. Such positive results achieved in actual production has not only met the requirement from petrochemical industry for safety, stability, long-term, full capacity and excellent performance, but provide some reference to the excessive heat recovery system construction of other similar devices as well.
