Under the contemporary China, economy has a rapid development. While accompanied by the growth of the GDP and the changes in production structures, lots of wealth and idle time gave birth to the new industry—Leisure. The prosperity of the leisure industry drives to the risen development of the research about the leisure industry and the leisure times. Reflected the pulse of the times the media as the most direct medium, their way of reporting, reporting length, angle reporting methods reported in the language, can learn about and see the whole picture of the leisure and the times. Therefore, this article starts from this absence field of the research. Compared to the lower level of rural areas for leisure, this paper, we focus on the leisure of city, from the urban mass media, mainly research the Hangzhou newspapers how to report the leisure knowledge. The text attempts to extract a large number of samples analyzed from the communication, the report found that leisure-owned newspaper article behind the overall structure and delivery of leisure concept, peep the whole idea of the relationship between the leisure and the society. Materialized in the economy and society continue today, the city mass media in the process of the propagating the leisure can not only on material consumption and entertainment-oriented direction, but also to focus on mental relaxation and leisure, to guide healthy active leisure and new green thinking, doing spiritual advocate. Although the national or global leisure society formation also requires a fairly long period, Leisure City will first appear in some areas. Foreseeable future development of the Leisure City will bring the development of the leisure society, and ultimately mankind get into the leisure society.
