Experienced the ten-year Cultural Revolution, Chinese book industry began to wake up in the late 1970's, and Hunan book industry began to develop rapidly in a good environment. At that time, Zhong Shuhe took into publishing industry and stood out among all publishers in Hunan at one fell swoop, by writing "Towards the World Series".He created a large number of edited and made a far-reaching impact in publishing industry, history academia and literary world.This paper focused on editing and publishing as the main line, analyzed and researched Zhong Shuhe's history of growing up, editing action, activities and edited works, and made a deep excavation on his editorial thoughts and editorial ideas. This paper can be generally divided into four parts, namely general introduction, editing activities research, editing thoughts research and research on learning and cultivation. The first part of this article explained the origins, main content and methods of the study, briefly reviewed the results of existing research. The second part described Zhong Shuhe's experiences before and after the beginning of editing, and then introduced his major works and achievements, then introduced his main results and contribution when he served as chief planning Yuelu Tract Society. The third part focused on his main editorial ideas, and take a specific commentary of his comprehensive and unique editorial talent from six headings. The forth part make a research of Zhong Shuhe's academics. Starting from his academic background, combining with his achievements in essays and other writing, the paper tries to parse the relationship between his historical and cultural background as well as grounding in his essay and achievements in the field of editing and sum up his successful experience.
