Research, Design And Application Of Monitoring Network Education System Based On J2EE And Data Mining

Network education is the important approach to develop modern education, and it is effective method to change traditional education pattern and improve the quality and efficiency of school teaching. As a new teaching mode, network education is more preponderant than traditional classroom education. At the same time, it has some deficiencies, especially for the lack of self-determination, independence, self-controlling for learners, which induce the lower quality of network education. Therefore it is one of hot questions of network education research to introduce and enhance the teaching monitor to improve the quality of network teaching.For most of existing domestic network teaching platform, it has rather perfect learning module and teaching management module, but it is empty of learning-monitor module. Only a few network teaching platform provide simple learning-monitor and learning-feedback function. However it can not carry out the data analysis and data mining, and it can not help educational administrators and teachers adjust teaching policy to get better teaching effect.In allusion to the insufficiency of existing network teaching platform and actual network teaching application, this work developed a network teaching-monitor system on long-range education platformof Southwest Jiaotong Network College. Based on advanced J2EE frame, the data mining technology was adopted, and the proposed network teaching-monitor system realized the smart analysis of the student's network learning data. The research content of this work includes following parts:(1) Based on J2EE structure, the Struts+Hibernate+Spring light frame was adopted. The network teaching-monitor system can monitor the logging, network courseware, online exercise, online answering, learning data downloading and graduate project modules of Southwest Jiaotong Network College long-range education platform. The network teaching-monitor system can record the study track of students. According as the prearranged evaluated rule or teacher manual judgement, the network teaching-monitor system can feed back the real-time results to students, teachers and administrators by various methods (such as sheet, statistics and short message).(2) The decision-tree data mining model was used to mine the data of network teaching. The basic student information, course study monitor data, final exam data and uniform exam data were combined to predict and classify student. The available teaching rule would be provided to teachers and teaching administrators for improving the network teaching quality.
