With Multi-core systems, Computing clusters, Grids and Cloud computing widely deployed, virtualization technology is widely used in various fields. It not only reduces IT costs, and applications can be achieved in a number of functions which are difficult to realize in the traditional hardware-based systems. The migration of virtual machines is a very important application because of its efficient and low cost features. However, the virtual machine's security environment also faces challenges. Thus, to enhance the security and reliability, the trusted computing technology is introduced in the virtual machine. At present, using trusted computing in virtual machine is still at the beginning. There are many issues to be studied. The migration of trusted virtual domains is a worthy one which will be discussed in this thesis. To research of the migration of trusted virtual domain, we must understand the principle of the migration virtual domain. Firstly, we analyze the principle of the migration of virtual domain, the contents of the domain migration based on the source code of Xen3.2.0, and the steps of the domain migration. The judgment for domain migration and the vCPU migration are also discussed. Then, we mainly study the technologies related to the migration of trusted virtual domain, including the implementation of a virtual trusted platform module (vTPM) in Xen, an improved method of integrity measurement module in Xen, and the communication among vtpmd, hotplug, vTPM Manager and vTPM instances. The basic method of the trusted virtual domain is given. At last, according to the vTPM instance migration protocol of IBM, we propose a method of vTPM instance migration and design a trusted virtual domain migration framework in Xen.
