The high speed development of Information Technology has made it infiltrated into every filed in society. The government, army, finance industry, enterprise, and even common people have become enormously dependent on Information Technology. Any mistakes caused by internal or external errors in the information system could have much influence and bring huge loss in economy. If the system crashes due to the mistakes, the damage may be infinitely large. Therefore, the mistake and disaster tolerance technology has become the focus of research interest.This paper encompasses the introduction of the concept of disaster recovery, disaster recovery level, and indicator and so on. This paper also reviews the key existing disaster recovery technologies include network backup and recovery, application backup and recovery, and data backup and recovery. Three major technologies:synchronous data disaster recovery, asynchronous disaster recovery and semi-asynchronous data synchronization of data disaster, are also discussed in this paper.Based on the theoretic research, this paper analyzes the features of railway ticketing system, and points out the feasibility and frequent questions of the backup system for disaster recovery of railway ticketing system. This paper designs and implements a schema of disaster recovery test environment. Three sub systems:ticket selling subsystem, ticket information real-time transmission subsystems, and disaster recovery subsystem are demonstrated respectively.
