With the intense situation of the world energy resource, the photovoltaic technology has been popularized gradually and extensively used in the field of road lamp lighting. With the appearance of the new energy conservation LED lamp, the combination of solar street light and new energy conservation LED make the development of intelligent solar street light have more actual energy conservation value. This research task's design target is to design an intelligent solar street light controller which is based on the mega128 single chip and can not only realize the target of intelligent management but also processes the function of near-end and far distance monitoring. The design procedure concludes:the algorithm design of system, the programming and circuit design of single chip system, the design of near-end and far distance monitoring software, the networking of street light monitoring.The system's algorithm design includes three aspects:①the algorithm design of the solar battery's maximum power point tracking. The research succeeds to design a fast and easily available maximum power point tracking algorithm through the lucubrate research of solar battery's output characteristic and the combination of the fuzzy control theory.②the algorithm design of battery charging. Combining with the solar battery's maximum power point tracking algorithm and the storage battery's output and input characteristic, the research designs a three stops charging algorithm which has the function of temperature compensation.③the detecting model of storage battery's dump energy. The model's main target is to estimate the dump energy of storing battery.When the storage battery is discharging, detecting the terminal voltage of storage battery instantly and combining the algorithm of detecting storage battery's dump energy to adjust the storage battery's discharging model instantly. The design of controller mainly realize the function of maximum power point tracking, intelligent defensive in any situation, the defensive of storage battery's charging and discharging and the design of near-end and far distance communication. The research concludes:the monitor of near-end upper computer and the programming design of upper computer. The monitor of near-end upper computer is mainly the communication between upper computer and single chip system through the serial port. Far distance monitor of upper computer is mainly monitoring the circuit design including an Ethernet communication module in the same time. The far distance control of upper computer can communicate with singlechip system conveniently and supply hardware foundation for networking.The intelligent network mainly takes advantage of controller hardware's competitive Ethernet communication module and wireless communication module and is designed according on the large streaming gradation topological structure model, The network can be divided into far distance control layer, target LAN control layer, terminal execution layer to realize decentralized management. The network can ensure the unobstructed communication of far distance control through the design of network layering.
