Design And Realization Of The Network Management Software Under The WLAN Architecture

WLAN has been applied in many fields for its merits of both flexible mobility capability and high communication speed capability. Security problems have been drawing exports` attention in information security field because of the own characters of the wireless network. As one of the most effective methods that can solve the security problems of wireless network, WAPI, which was innovated by China National Standard, has been accepted by enterprises and telecom merchants, but it is difficult to implement those standards in wireless devices management field.Describing and analyzing both international and national WLAN security mechanisms, the thesis emphatically studies the process of WAPI standard implementation which is used in network devices. Using the technologies of network management and characters of the wireless devices, the thesis extends Management Information Base, and proposes a new scheme based on Wireless Interface Index technique to manage wireless devices. In network management software configuration and security management aspects, the scheme implements the media access control and physical standards and WAPI standard. In performance aspect, using extended MIB technique, the scheme can manage stations information. The scheme, which works in wireless network devices, can support many of management functions such as configuration management, performance management, security management, fault management and so on.On the one hand, the network management software can perfectly supported WIFI technology and WAPI standard to solve security problems which exist in network management system. On the other hand, the software improves the defects of the stations information management. The test shows that the software is compatible with the requirement proposed by telecom merchants. The design has contented the need of market.The accounting management module which belongs to a part of network management software is too complex to implement for it depends on the real-time network monitoring. Owing to its complex, the module will be researched and implemented in future work.
