When communication satellite is launched into the space around the earth orbit, it urgently needs to reduce weight to cut down cost. At the same time, large deployable mesh antenna, which is mainly woven by wires, possesses several advantages such as lightweight, elasticity and deployable so as to reduce the packaging features during launch. Mesh reflector surface has become a hot technology in the researches of large deployable mesh antenna because of their great advantages in size and weight. The different weaving structures can significantly effect the electric performance of mesh antenna, so researching on this field has significant practical significance. In this paper, the weaving structure mesh plane and mesh paraboloid as research objects to study the induced current of two kinds of calculation and analysis models. Detailed description the idea and process of the parametric modeling for the weaving structure of the mesh surface, mathematically calculate the E-field of the basic unit of the weaving strip-aperture structure so as to verify the feasibility of simulation analysis. Design mesh paraboloid antenna with proper Focus and Aperture Diameter as well as half-wave electric dipole feed. Several kinds of equivalent strip models of triangular, square, rectangular and parallelogram woven structure have been built by MATLAB software with parametric modeling method, considering the practical application and manufacturing craftwork standard, set up several aperture widths and wire diameters, separately analyzed the electric performance of each kind of weaving structure with different aperture widths and wire diameters by using FEKO. Analysis and compare the result of simulation with solid paraboloid as a reference. Obtain the optimum aperture width as well as wire diameter for each weaving structure. Finally, obtain the best weaving structure pattern by comparing these kinds of weaving structures: triangular weaving structure pattern has the best electric performance. Some work have been done for the parametric modeling and simulations of mesh reflector antennas in the paper, it can provide some basis for choosing of appropriate weaving structures of mesh reflectors.
