The electrical performance of mesh reflector antenna is researched in this paper. The main work will be introduced as follows:1. The energy leaking of mesh is considered, and the analysis model of surface induced current on the mesh reflector is constructed. Some key questions including modeling and equivalent of reflective mesh are researched, the condition that mesh equals to solid surface is presented, which lay the foundations for the development of analysis software.2. The electrical performance analysis software based on the secondary development of FEKO and C++ Builder is programmed. Some techniques such as the equivalent of mesh, secondary development of FEKO and file parse are integrated into the analysis software. The electrical performance of mesh reflector antenna can be analysised quickly by using the electrical performance analysis software. The important electrical performance informations, such as Pattern, Gain, SLL and HPBW, can be provided to users by way of chart. The result will provide a reference for the precision adjustment software.3. The electrical performance of typical reflector structure is analysised by the electrical performance analysis software, the function and availability of software is proofed. Some phenomenons, such as the gain loss is too large, the gain loss doesn't improve with surface precision rising, and the grating lobes occur in pattern, can be found in the result, and some explanations on the cause of these phenomenons are given in detail.
