Semiconductor laser is the ideal electronic - photon direct conversion devices, with the rapid development of optical communication technology, semiconductor lasers has been increasingly widely used. And it is the corresponding to laser-driven technology requirements are urgent.This thesis analyzes the technology of laser direct modulation according to the characteristics of semiconductor lasers. And analyze the cause of the response generated by the frequency chirp and the method on reducing the adverse effects. On the basis of 2.5GHz high speed semiconductor laser's need, I design the laser driving circuit, TEC cooling circuit and protected circuit which is helpful to make the system work safely. Practise these all circuit, then analyze the experiment results. The paper accomplishes the design of driving the 2.5GHz laser and achieves the stated technology target. |
