With the further requests about the quality of communication, as well as the rapid development of laser technology, the optical communication technology is developed more and more rapidly with unique merit. The high power and high reliable laser source is the most important part in the spatial optical communication emission system.The thesis subject comes from the transmitting system of laser communication. The thesis discusses and analyzes to the laser source's characteristic and modes, formulates and implements the design proposal. The thesis mainly researches the control technology and the direct modulation technology of the semiconductor laser. The control technology is mainly to control current and temperature of laser for laser's stability. We use PWM and change current to control temperature and power of the lasers. The thesis also analyzes the key technology of the transmitting system and expatiates the direct modulation theory, modulation response and frequency chirping in the modulation process. Being based of distributing direct modulation system link, I design the laser driving circuit and constant current source circuit according with technology target and analyze the experiment results. The paper accomplishes the design of the direct modulation transmitting module and achieves the stated technology target.
