Constructing Argo real-time ocean observation network allows researchers to obtain ocean temperature, salinity and currents information from Argo vertical profiles more easily and quickly to improve the ocean and global climate predictability. With the global Argo real-time ocean observation network fully completed, the number of Argo floats continue to be increased, the observation time is extended, and more than 100,000 observed Argo profiles can be received. With so many Argo floats and profile data, scientific and efficient management are needed to make Argo data play its due role. Better data storage and management are needed to facilitate obtaining Argo data and applying them in various fields. Argo data sharing and integrated services technology have become a research hotspot in Argo researsh. In this thesis, research content is focused on the design of WebGIS system model and realization of WebGIS based Argo data management and integrated service system. This thesis first introduces the background and research significance of the subject, the concept and characteristics of WebGIS are introduced, research status andfuture development trend of WebGIS are presented, overview of Argo data management which is based on CD-ROM and Web-based database is given, the problems and deficiencies of current methods are noted. The primary task of of Argo data sharing management is to design robust, easy to use, scalable system architecture. Secondly, concept of Web services and its key technology are introdued, WebGIS core platform is selected, mainstream WebGIS system framework is studied, model of Argo data sharing and integrated service system architecture is designed. Thirdly, three key technologies of Argo data sharing and integrated service system is discussed, which are hybrid data model, WebGIS cache technology, and Ajax. Finally, database and functional modules of system are designed. Using these technologies above, Argo data sharing and integrated service system is developed. The system is running in China Argo Real-time data center, the Second Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration. The results show that the system can meet the Argo data users' needs and provide a more convenient and quick technological means.
