Design And Implementation Of Web_based Management System For University Graduation Thesis

With the rapid development of information technology and widespread use of computers to improve efficiency, people use the network application platform to build a safe, reliable and efficient management system to manage the internal affairs. With the constant deepening of colleges and universities reform, the demand for reform is also increasing. Colleges'and universities'management is becoming increasingly network-based. At present, the majority of colleges and universities have achieved school roll management, student achievement management network. A lot of colleges and universities are still trying the design and network management of graduation thesis. In order to arouse students'enthusiasm of participating in the graduation design, to build interactive platform for students'selection and teachers'guidance to effectively complete graduation thesis management, graduation thesis design and the network-based management have become the focus of colleges and universities reform. As a developing college, our college encounters many difficulties in the design and management of graduation thesis, such as its campuses are scattered, the majority of students practice in so relatively far fields that they are unable to go back to school in time, the number of thesis documents is so vast that the workload to modify is very heavy. According to the present situation that the author's school is still using manual management to manage graduation thesis, the author has developed the graduation thesis management system based on Web to improve the efficiency of the entire management process.Management system for university graduation thesis adopts B/S structure, that is, Browser/Server structure, which is a modified version of C/S structure with the rising of internet technology. Under B/S structue, the user interface can be implemented through www browser completely, some of the business logic is completed in the front end, the majority of the business logic is completed in the service end. This forms the so-called 3-tier structure. Accordance with the software engineering standard, this paper gives a detailed description of the system demand analysis, abstract design, detailed design, the encoding implementation and software test process.The graduation thesis management system functions as follows: 1. The students are the minimum power users of the system, with the specific operation including selecting courses through Internet, uploading dissertation document, changing the password, viewing dissertation topics, viewing paper contents and the commencement reports, downloading the latest electronic documents (including forms). For inquiry thesis topic, the user can conduct inquiries in different ways including precise inquiries, fuzzy inquiry, and the results of inquiries can be showed to the users through visualization techniques.2. Teacher users have the ability to operate their own selections, including managing the students'papers related to the topics, giving thesis topics, reviewing the problems in the students'uploaded commencement report, auditing students'uploaded dissertation, checking teachers'topics, as well as first reviewing students'submitted papers and commencement reports.3. Each department's research office is the highest authority of the system and has ability to manage user rights, teachers'topics, students'selection of topics, students'uploaded thesis, teachers'right, giving scores to the reply results of paper answer, and do statistics and print (firstly form into tables, and then Print), the papers document examination (firstly check whether the teachers do the first examination, and then put forward valuable suggestions for re-examination of the document), and other functions.Management system for university graduation thesis can help to reduce teaching management cost and heavy teaching adminstrative work.
