| In order to adapt to the rapid development of society a variety of intelligent and efficient products have appeared. Education and information industry has developed rapidly and the voting system can improve the teaching effectiveness. At present, there are similar products in the market, and the functions of voting system are various, but they are used rarely in the field of education. The voting machines are mostly for conference voting. Their disadvantages, for example, are short battery usage time, insufficient fuctions. Wireless voting system designed in this paper can give a good solution to these problems.This paper is about the design of a wireless voting system. Hardware system is composed of AT89S52 microprocessor, the keyboard circuit, wireless module and liquid crystal display circuit. The cores of the voting system are the microprocessor, the keyboard circuit and the wireless module. The microprocessor gets the input signal form the keyboard and the wireless communication between the host computer and the voting machine is completed by a wireless-controlled module. The features of voting system different from other products are mainly design of low-power and liquid crystal display.The design of hardware and software are finshed. The design of low-power and low-cost are the focuses in this article.The content of the article are as follows:The first chapter, the background of wireless voting system is analysed, I do some research about similar products in the market, and explore the advantages of other products and also found the issues. It shows the main contents of this article and gives a broad overview of the content; Chapter two, several wireless communications are introduced firstly. A suitableone is selected for this wireless system. It gives an overview of the wireless voting system;Chapter three, the hardware of wireless voting system is designed in this chapter. First, overview of the system's hardware circuit is shown; Secondly, it also shows the details about the wireless voting system in each part of the circuit, including the microprocessor, the keyboard circuit, the liquid crystal display circuit, the wireless communication module, the power circuit and power management circuit; finally, it shows the low-power design in the hardware system;Chapter four, it is about the software of wireless voting system. First, it gives an overview about program of the wireless voting system; Secondly, it descripts the wireless communication protocol in wireless voting system; and then completed the key function, such as digital real-time display, Chinese character display and wireless communication; finally, it shows the low-power design of program;Chapter five, it introduces the debugging of the wireless voting system, including the debugging tools, the debugging methods, and the debugging process. The problems of the hardware and software debugging are analysed. The solutions are found out, it improves the system design of hardware and software, finally, the whole system is test, and it gives the system test results;Chapter six is the conclusion of the article, it is the summary of the paper and also pointed out the direction and focus in the future.The main work of the article is as below:1.It analyses the background and characteristics of similar products in the market, and designs research objectives of this wireless voting system; four kinds of communications technology is comparative to identify a suitable way for the wireless voting system.2. Hardware design in the wirless voting system(1) The wireless voting devices uses AT89S52 as the central controller in this paper, and finished the keyboard circuit, the liquid crystal display circuit, the wireless communication circuit, the power supply circuit and the power management circuit;(2) The low-power design is very important in the wireless voting device. In order to reduce the waste of system power in wireless voting devices, the design changed repeatedly, and finding the optimal circuit design, enabling wireless voting system of standby time long, increasing battery life, without changing batteries often, it is the most significant feature in this system;(3) This wireless keypad voting system is desgned with the value of a wide range of (0 ~ 9999), and increased the function keys to make the system more user-friendly operation, and it is suitable for the use of students of all ages. Compared to similar products in the market, this paper designed a wireless voting machine system to increase the LCD display, it is easier to navigate and use;(4) The communication between the host computer and wireless voting device is RF communication in the system. The system uses HAC-uM series of micro-power wireless transceiver module to accomplish this function;(5) Wireless voting machine is more than one device in the wireless voting systems, so for the system, each voting machine is assigned a terminal address code, and the address code is unique.3.Software design in the wirless voting system(1) Communication protocol for the wireless voting system is designed;(2) The fuction keys and the number keys are finished;(3) The fuction of the LCD display in wireless voting system is finished;(4) Wireless fuction in the voting system using wireless communication module is completed, so the wireless voting devices can communicate with the host computer properly;4. Low-power design in the wirless voting systemThrough learning the knowledge of low-power design, the design of system hardware circuit and software is change several times to make the system work for a longer time. |
