In the context of the Information Age, an important aspect of study in the educational technology during the informationization process is how to apply the information technology to the basic educational area, so as to integrate the information technology with the curriculum on purpose of actually improving the learning efficiency. As we are vigorously carrying out the new curriculum reform, the self-regulated learning that can satisfy the students'individual needs will supplement the insufficiency of the traditional paper and pencil tests.For a long time, the traditional tests cannot satisfy students'requirements for individualized tests, which is not good for their self-development. As a result, Computer-Assisted-Tests appeared. At present, however, plenty of problems existed on the national learning platform, for instance, lack of systematic interaction, ignorance of students'individual differences, inadequacy of advanced theories, and neglect of the educational measurement's function. This thesis tries to solve those problems by combining advanced technologies with some educational theories and educational measurement theories then applied these theories to the field of computer assisted test, thus developed a web-based self-adaptive computer-assisted testing system, hoping that can satisfy students'needs of individualize learning and help improve students'learning efficiency. This study is carried out in two aspects: theory and practice, specifically speaking, that is:(1)Combination of the theories and construction of models. This study aims to learn the facts about the basic theories and developing trend of self-adaptive learning on the background of the highly developed information society, as well as the theoretical foundation and basic principles of computerized testing, which direct self-adaptive learning. Based on those efforts, I hope to construct the models for self-adaptive learning, and to contribute to the teaching reform in the information society.(2) The design and development of self-adaptive learning system. Based on the current testing theories and the study of our predecessors, I concretely designed a platform, thereby developed an experimental self-adaptive learning system, ie, the self-adaptive practice system for English in Junior high school for the purpose of making some basic research and evaluating the future self-adaptive learning system.In the end, the thesis made a summary of what the author did and pointed out the direction for further research. The innovations of this article are: (1) On the basis of analyzing the some existing learning platform home and abroad, the author integrated the Item Response Theory into the system and established a model of self-adaptive questioning, thereby laid the foundation for the development of the system.(2)Tthe author established a feasible framework for self-adaptive practice system, including the logic model, needs analysis, functional modular design, the design of questions base, models for self-adaptive questioning.(3) The author realized the functions of self-adaptive practice systems, including the following respects: Diagnose students'level of the knowledge points; Change the base of students'characteristics dynamically and present the most appropriate questions for students'current capacity.
