Research And Application Of A General Digital Equipments Service Framework: Template

Nowadays, technologies of communication, computer, micro-electronics and embedded system are developing at very high speed. Many new kinds of value-added mobile business appeared. Styles of mobile terminals enriched. Mobile phones have become our necessity because of its carrying easily. It is one of necessities which are used and changed most frequently. Meanwhile, the customer's demands for the extra applications on the mobile phone increased steadily.Template technology introduced in this essay provides a way of accessing information quickly from different data sources for various digital equipments. It consists of server software that creates service and UI files and client software that displays UI files and implements communication with server. It is a flexible service framework which provides the customization of service process according to application requirements. In template technology, SVG files are used to express UI information which is independent of platform and can scale nicely to arbitrary resolutions.In this paper, we discuss the detailed design and implement of template server which is a web server and client whose main function is SVG file viewer based on J2ME which is supported by most of mobile phones. We also implement a demo of M-learning system based on Template.
