Web2.0 based video-sharing sites have achieved success in business fields. The concept of openness, interaction, participation, sharing also gives some insights into the current mode of school online video instruction. Podcasting can change the mode of "one-way transmission" in traditional video-on-demand, and overcome such defects as monotony in sources and resources, lack of learners' interaction. Teachers can collect or record videos to the students to facilitate their learning and revision after class. At the same time students can also be a provider of resources to conduct cooperative study, making use of podcasting as a platform of exchange of resources and views.In order to strengthen the role of the newly developed podcasting as a better tool for educational practice, and on the strength of theories of podcasting and web 2.0, the thesis proposes campus-based podcasting design and development proposal, accomplishes practical research in related course instruction after the development of the system, and tentatively probes into applications in developing teachers' academic quality, in cultivating normal college students' teaching skills, and in enriching campus culture. The technology route proposed in the thesis can serve as a valuable reference to the setup of podcasting system on campus network, and the instruction of the relevant courses.
