Design And Implementation Of Online Discussion Topic

With the evolvement of IT and curriculum integration, the design and development of network course has become the focus of attention in the field of educational technology. Network course has broken the limit of face-to-face teaching, provides more relaxed conditions for independent study and collaborative learning, and it has gradually become a supplementary form of face-to-face teaching. Course forum as an essential function modules in the network course, plays an important role in the teaching and learning process. In the design and development processes of network courses, the forum module has aroused a great deal of concern, but at the practical application stage, there are still differences in the utilization of it. From the angle of network course implementers, the problems can be attributed to two aspects:one is the unreasonable design of online discussion topic; the other is the non-standard implementation and management to online discuss. These two aspects of problems make a direct impact on teaching effectiveness. Therefore, how to design the topics of online discussion and how to put these topics into online discussion practice should be aroused sufficient attention.This study has analyzed the current main problems in network course forum, combined with the characteristics of "IT Curriculum and Instruction" network course and the learners, based on the Moodle network teaching platform, used the ideas and methods of the Subjectivity Education theory and the System theory, proposed the six principles and processes of online discussion topic design on "IT Curriculum and Instruction" network courses. Combined with the teaching content, this study has designed three types of online discussion topics, and the implementation processes. Finally, through the "IT Curriculum and Instruction" online discussion activities, we have verified the effectiveness of the design.
