With the continuous development of automotive technology, as well as the high demand on car security and control, automobile cruise control system is incessant updating and improving. Currently, people set automobile cruise control system as the necessary equipment for the senior car, but the routine machine automobile cruise control system's delay, single function and poor anti-interference, these making the control are unsatisfactory. This paper based on the actuality and developing of automobile cruise control system, and design cruise control system which based on ARM9 microprocessor's S3C2410 as kernel .According to the basic composing and working principle and the command of system performance of automobile cruise control system, made the whole design. In hardware design, take the S3C2410 as the main controller to improve the work speed and data-processing capacity. And in accordance with the needs of auto cruise function, have designed speed sensor module, LED modules, the implementation of modules, data storage module, alarm circuit module, such as hardware, data acquisition and storage, data transmission, the implementation of control and data display and different alarm conditions. In order to meet the vehicle cruise system's teal time and dealing with complex multi-tasking needs, replant Linux operating system on the main processor S3C2410, set up software platform and took the application software design in this platform. Speed data was sent to controller, through amplifier circuit getting into S3C2410 processor and displayed on the LED module. When the cruise working, open the main program, when need to change the speed, take the interrupt for data processing, arrive the change of speed.Finally, using CAN bus serial communication technology, design the appropriate interface circuit. Through the interface circuit can achieve the function of communication with others, because the car is more than one microprocessor.In this paper take the way of simulate experiment to validate the data collection real-time of data of S3C2410 microcontroller. And carry out the accurate stepper motor of implementing agencies control, making adjusting throttle reliable. So the cruise system has better performance.
