As the major equipment of construction machinery, hydraulic cranes were widely used in mechanized construction process. It plays a very important role in reducing labor intensity, saving manpower, reducing the construction cost, improving the construction quality and accelerates the construction speed. Because users need higher and higher in working performance, operating comfort, automation, work safety and reliability, fault monitoring equipment, flow control and distribution of hydraulic system, cranes develop toward the direction of large tonnage, high efficiency, automation, intelligent control and multi-purpose increasingly, the CAN bus distributed control system is widely adopted in the control system of crane. This paper describes the development trend of large-scale truck crane, as well as the development of field bus technology, uses the CAN bus distributed control system, develops multiactuator electrohydraulic control system of mobile crane. The main research contents of the study are as follows:(1)Based on analysis of the basic structure of the crane and the motion law of the moving parts, crane based on CAN-bus network topology is established.(2)According to the characteristics of crane electro-hydraulic control system, dynamics model of electro-hydraulic control system is established. The dynamic characteristics of the system is simulated by using a dynamic system simulation toolbox Simulink, which is provided by MATLAB. A foundation for further study of electro-hydraulic control system of crane is provided.(3)Experimental platform of a crane is builded. An experimental investigation was conducted of response characteristics of electro-hydraulic control system of crane based on CAN bus. The feasibility of the established distributed electro-hydraulic control system has been verified.
