The quality of service of the P2P-VoD (Peer-to-Peer-Video-on-Demand) system was difficult to be guaranteed because of the user's real-time requirements of the media and the P2P network characteristics such as the node dynamic, heterogeneous networks, a single point of bottleneck. The high-performance of data scheduling algorithm between peer nodes was one of the key mechanisms to protect the quality of service . Network coding was a combination of coding and routing,which represented a concept of team work . This paper analyzed and compared the internal and external researches of the data scheduling in the P2P systems based on network coding, and researched the problem of the data scheduling algorithm in the P2P-VoD system based on network coding.Firstly, the data scheduling algorithm in P2P-VoD system based on network coding was researched. When analyzed the derivation algorithm, we found that the algorithm could not adapt the heterogeneity of the node and the network, and meet the user's real-time requirements of the media. So a data scheduling algorithm ARLNC which was based on adaptive network coding was introduced. Network coding window was adaptive adjusted by the peer node according to its cache, the link available bandwidth and the deadline of playable block.Secondly, the simulation of the P2P-VoD system based on network coding was researched. When analyzed the derivation simulation platform, we found that the platform could not meet the requirements of versatility and scalability. So a general simulation platform of P2P-VoD systems NCVoD was introduced. On the basis of NS2 , the application of network coding was expanded, the Socket module,the interface module and the application modules of the P2P-VoD system were designed.Finally, the effectiveness and versatility of the designed simulation platform NCVoD Sim were verified. And , the designed data scheduling algorithms ARLNC and the other algorithms were simulated and analysed.
