Today, As the embedded system is more and more popular, the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) on the board system is used widely. As the size of FPGA is becoming larger and larger, the pin allocation affects the frequency more and more deeply.In this paper, the research is based on the Xilinx FPGA design flow. And the research is focused on the relationship between frequency and pin allocation, after researched how the pin allocation affected frequency, a FPGA frequency testing method for different pin allocation was obtained and verified.After investigated the relationship to the frequency with pin allocation and researched bipartite graph, the optimal pin allocation algorithm was obtained. Based on the new algorithm, several FPGA projects are simulated and tested. The result shows that the proposed method improved 7%, it is a perfect solution for the pin allocation and frequency.
